I agree with most of you guys. I just feel tired of what we are fighting for. Being a Taiwanese American, but lived in Taiwan for some years, people in Taiwan sometimes don't know what they are doing and a main problem is that we don't have a specific goal to fight for. Some people wanted independence, some are fighting for joining the UN--some want this others want that... We won't be able to obtain anything if people don't stick together.

As Taiwanese American, I found this video unbelievable. UN for Taiwan? No way! Its good to hear we want to be independence but UN? Do you even have clue what kind of organization is that? It is another bigger social redistribution, communist institution. Please search UN agenda 21 first. No private property right and your rights are granted by the UN. Study how UN destroys US constitution, Katanga affair; you might not like UN at all.
Bottom line: Independence for Taiwan? YES! Join UN? NO!

I never said I wanted Japan to be part of Taiwan, stop twisting my words. It was ceded in 1895 in the Treaty of Shimonoseki from the Qing Empire to Japan and officially renounced in 1952 in the SF treaty. And where does it say in the Boxer Protocol that it renounces Japan's treaty rights? The Protocol only seems to state money given out to the foreign powers and punishments.

Taiwan needs to be strong within, by the Taiwanese themselves, not by licking Japanese or American butt.
I doubt you're even a real Taiwanese, claiming Taiwan as part of Japan. If you want to be Japanese so much, like the guy said, "太平洋沒加蓋 你可以游過去" but dont drag the entire Taiwanese population with you.

Actually Im a Canadian that is Taiwanese decendent. And I couldn't care less if China is being nukes by the rest of the world. Im only here to laugh at you guys who still believes that Taiwan is still part of Japan, and try to play with words to manipulate the meaning of a fact from SF peace treaty. It's like political masturbation, you keep doing it so you feel good yourself, but to the rest of the world, no one gives a fuck what you think. That includes your Japanese master and US master.

Well I'm Taiwanese American and I have no desire to see the US, or Japan, or China rule Taiwan ever again. Taiwan should be ruled by its own people,

You mightsay nothing was signed during the Cairo declartion. However, scholars rejected the claim, which the Cairo Declaration is cited in Clause Eight (8) of the Potsdam Declaration, which is referred by the Japanese Instrument of Surrender. While the Cairo Declaration itself was a non-binding declaration, it was given legal effect by the Japanese Instrument of Surrender. The Instrument stated that Japan would implement the Potsdam Declaration, which in turn referenced the Cairo Declaration.
