DJ TIESTO SYDNEY 2008

Tiesto, real name Tijs Verwest, began his DJing career at school parties in the late 1980s and soon became a fixture in Dutch clubs, releasing mix CDs on a Rotterdam-based record label. By the mid-'90s he began producing trance and his sound took off internationally....

....In 1997, he founded his own label, Black Hole Recordings, producing other trance DJs, while he made a name for himself as a solo DJ, and by 2000 he was famed for his six-hour sets and massive audiences. He became the first solo DJ to sell out a stadium event to 25,000 people in 2003, his 2007 album Elements of Life was nominated for a Grammy and he once played to 500,000 people in Rio, an experience he describes as "amazing"....
