The problem with prometheus was simply most people expected to be spoonfed answers about Alien. However those answers were meant to be ambiguous, and we were meant to seriously have to think to get those answers, and choose what we want to believe. Most people just never bothered to think about it, and were left confused by it, and nitpicked everything else to back this up. In reality, the answers it gave through the strong clues are far more amazing than anything that could have just been said.

One major issue about Prometheus is the way the film was edited. I have watched the film a fair few times since it's been on SKY Movies and this films got a lot of mistakes in it.
