My thoughts on Silent Hill 4: The Room

Here is a brief summary of my thoughts on Silent Hill 4: The Room. I will not be posting anything on Silent Hill Origins because I don't have it and really have no intention of playing it, at least not for a long time.

I will not be posting anything on Silent Hill: Homecoming other than this: it sucks.

This game was never meant to be a Silent Hill game but then Konami decided to make it one by simply adding Silent Hill to the name and briefly mentioning Silent Hill throughout the game.... And yeah the AI is way herder for Walter Sullivan on the PS2. Right there where you're chasing him he just F#$king unloaded on me and Eileen..... Though she's still insanely retarded on the PS2

@research1134 That's actually nothing more than a false rumor, started from a mistranslation with the developers. The game was originally titled Room 302, but it was always intended to be part of the Silent Hill series. It was just originally meant to be a spinoff in the series rather than a main, numbered title.

I'm not exactly sure when it was changed into a main title, but it was previewed as Silent Hill 4 when it was only 30% completed.

I found the console version to be a lot cleaner than the pc version, but that's just me. My reaction to it being Walter was "OMFG IT'S THAT GUY WHO STABBED HIMSELF WITH A SPOON!". I really wanted to see a spoon hanging out of his neck.

But, i have to agree it's not really a Silent Hill sort of game - the monsters do have the Silent Hill edge to them, but the fucking ghosts? Ugh. The hauntings in the fridge of the apartment amused me greatly. Who doesn't like a dead cat in their fridge?

The best part of this game were the credits..... I'm not even trolling too, that music and some of the cool close ups and the camera going around the room was really cool.......
