Quite possibly the creepiest thing on YouTube I have ever seen. This fertility treatment is wonderful for some parents, but it is ridiculous to think that every failed pregnancy is a child lost. I really don't think that god/nature is cruel enough to grant a few cells a soul just to be frozen and tortured like that. If that was true, then you should be fighting to have this method of fertility treatment abolished. There are plenty of REAL children that need to be adopted. Focus on them.

Many are fighting against fetal experimentation, embryonic stem cell research and IVF is contrary to Catholic teaching. There are a number of wonderful adoption advocates. Many who might have previously adopted children are instead doing IVF and the by-product is Snowflake Babies. I am promoting a little known form of adoption that spares the tiniest of human lives. Where there is life, there's hope, even if the life is small and frozen.

No child is gonna thank you for "spiritual adoption", Celeb. As an adoptive parent, I've seen what it means to languish for your entire formative life loveless, resourceless, and broken-hearted. Been round the world, looking at this problem, and I have a very good idea what happens to REAL children with REAL needs. "Snowflake babies" - what a load.

@Nellirubina I am so happy for you to have adopted an older precious child in great need. I trust that you have given love and eased some pain in the world. I pray that the cruelty and harshness of the world would not harden your heart against the least of us, the unborn. The snowflake babies do have time on their side & can wait while the ones already here have needs NOW. Not everyone can or should adopt an older child.Some barren want birth babies, and snowflake babies are an option.

An embryo is potential. Not a child, not a baby, not a conscious person with a life and a soul. It's only potential - no more, no less. Just the same as being developed in a body and being flushed out monthly or being fertilized, some frozen embryos get a chance to develop and some don't. That's life.
