The Amanita Muscaria is definitely implicated when Moses confronted the burning Bush and received the Ten Commandments. The Amanita looks to be on fire. Moses took off his shoes because the ground was sacred. The mycellum which is the mushroom plantthe mushroom itself is only the fruit, would have been under his feet and therefore the ground was sacred.
