SANDUSKY,OHIO

Two Sandusky residents were hospitalized with stab wounds Tuesday morning after an argument escalated into violence.

Police and firefighters were called to 325 Camp St. at7:36 a.m. after receiving a call of a man bleeding. They found Thomas Vales, 53, 200 block Perry St.,and Chris Pinkman, 48, 325 Camp St., both bleeding from apparent stab wounds.
Police are still determining what happened, Sandusky policeSgt. John Orzech said. Vales appeared to have been stabbed in the back, while Pinkman was stabbed in the calf, Orzech said.
"They were in a fog," Orzech said. "They gave a statement, but they weren't very coherent. We know there was some kind of altercation and someone got stabbed."

Both men were treated and released, Orzech said. Police removed an unknown number of knives from the home.
A crusty, wrinkled and bloodstained towel, a piece of yellow crime-scene tape and bloody footprints on a sidewalk were all that remained at the residence Tuesday afternoon.
A man who answered the door at 325 Camp Street was dressed in what appeared to be a hospital gown, but he declined to discuss the stabbing.

A neighbor said people were partying in the white house at 4 a.m. when she went to bed. She said her mother woke her up at 8 a.m. when police and firefighters descended on the home.
"All I saw was them carrying a black guy off on a stretcher and he had a bandage on his hand," the neighbor said.

John Ferguson, who also lives on Camp Street, said blood was "squirting" out of Pinkman's leg. Pinkman recently moved into the home, Ferguson said.

Tiffany Bosworth, 20, also lives on Camp Street and clutched her 7-month-old son while describing what she saw.
"There was just a lot of commotion," she said.
Orzech said police plan to question Vales and Pinkman again today.
