Split Decision

This is one of my favorite tricks. It was created by Joshua Jay. It is extremely simple yet the effect is unbelievably unbelievable.

Effect: *****
Effect: A magician volunteers to demonstrate the sychronisation of minds. He takes out two decks. A card is taken from one deck by a spectator, and another card is taken from the other deck by the other spectator. When revealed, the two cards could not be any more different. The magician takes out a prediction, only one prediction. It is only one card. Seemingly messed up, the magician tries to go on to another trick, but he then takes the prediction and rips it in half. One half is the same as one chosen card and the other half is the same as the other one.
