thats tv, and its cus he puts a comedic twist to the show, so the bad situations look funny, like the stealing chains episode, or how he describes people doing things, was just funny, but the reality is different. people are funny if they think a show will determine how reality is lol. believe me bed stuy in the 80s and 90s was bad, cus brooklyn in the 80s and 90s was constant crime, them cop sirens went off every hour on the hour, i remember cus i lived on bedford ave

I grew up in Bed Sty. Bed Sty is beautiful if you're looking for historic brownstones, and a section of Brooklyn that dates back to when the Dutch lived there. But the reality is that it's inundated with thugs that will kill you for looking at them. Also, don't forget about stick-up kids. In 2009, allot of guys who went to jail in the 90s were now being released. Guess where they returned to? Home Sweet Home, Bed Stuy.
