Hay I'm all for some lively religious debate but isn't there forums for it out there. I don't see the god connection in this video...

HappytheHobo13, we do need to evolve our consciences as you put it, but compare how racism is in the UK today and how it was before it was made illegal. Legislation is and was the first step to showing society that these prejudices are wrong.

UserAlan1, racism and sexism are illegal in the UK, which is what the guy in the video refers to. It was only once they were made illegal that real progress was made in society in terms of accepting that they are wrong. They may still exist in society but legislation was a key early step in beginning to phase them out. We need to do the same with ageism.

Wake up. This is a film about the UK Government being institutionally ageist. Its asking people to take a stand against it, and let the government know that people care about the law when a lack of it allows discrimination against an entire population of people over 65. This has nothing to do with religion, god or belief. Its what is socially acceptable for a population who have fought in wars and paid tax all their lives, as well as all the people who are going to be over 65 in the UK.

I never said I'm pursuing absolute truth. I'm saying I believe in something, and you're telling me that it's wrong without proof. You have no right to tell me that what you believe is truth when you can't even prove that it's fact. As such, what you have is a belief, not concrete. I may be Christian, but I don't buy into the whole "feel sorry for your sins and they're all forgiven instantly". As ideal as that may be, it means that you don't have to deal with your actions.

Thats your opionon, and I dont argue it, rather I like to thank you for giving your opionon, without acting superior than us who believe, it often happens.
