I bet it was painful for Madden to have to say that, he NEVER seemed to like the Redskins. He never gave them the credit they deserved even in their winning years!

Darrell to Champ to Hall

a true great he doesn't have a huge highlight reel for 20 years of play but that's all credit to his cover skills when the qb wont throw the ball to his receiver
and one of the few great football players who wasn't a arrogant POS one of the few who stuck with one team through good or bad times

Tootsie Rolls BABY!

@wyzard214 Owens chased down Julius Jones, Patrick Crayton, and Nick Collins from WAY behind. Caught up to Garrison Hearst to throw blocks in the 98 OT breakaway run vs. Jets. Nearly caught Robert Bailey from behind in 01 on Bailey's INT TD return, starting 10+ yards behind. Caught Travis Fisher from behind on INT return in first 03 Rams game. Ran record 9.02 in 2001 Superstars competition 100 yard dash. Second year in a row he won. Smoked former FSU sprinter Michael Jennings in 40 yard race.

@chadalea Rice never out-ran Green in his career. What he DID do was use his size to his advantage, shielding Green from the ball.
Rice could burn the slower corners in the league (such as Lionel Washington, Toi Cook, Charles Dimry, and Tim McKyer), and he got plenty of matchups versus those kinds of guys. But he didn't out-run anyone doing 4.4 or better. His brilliance after the catch is what put him on a different level. He was strong, he was fluid, and he was the toughest player of all-time
-
@chadalea Actually, Rice's lack of true top end speed was obvious. Jessie Tuggle (Falcons MLB) caught him from behind in 1992. Green caught him from behind in this video. He never beat Deion for anything significant in his career (in part because Deion very rarely lined up against Rice). Rice benefited from offensive coordinators moving him around and getting him on second and third rate corners, if not linebackers.
That isn't to say he wasn't a great player, though.

@ez3002008 Green had problems against bigger receivers...they would just screen him from the ball. That's what Rice did. He had 6 inches on Green (6'2" vs. 5'8").
the dislikes are dorsett and Eric Dickerson
