Use 1% or 2% alcohol solution of the salicylic acid right before and after you shave - it will greatly minimize the irritation. It will tingle when you apply it right after shaving but it's ok and it's only for a few seconds.

  • i only get irritation in certain areas on my legs when i shave, so can i just use the salicylic acid in those spots instead of everywhere else i shave at?

  • That machine is called an epilator, I have one and as painful as it may be it pays off and eventually the pain is much less.

  • it is a torture machine! It's an epilator i think but it plucks out all of your leg hairs and it's supposed to be better. but I have no balls so i have to shave them.
