This is the first scene of an unproduced screenplay by John Herndon. Starring Mark Scheibmeir and Melissa Recalde. It was shot on super 16 mm using Kodak Vision 3 250D film stock. Here's the premise:

The road to hell runs through Real County.

Deputy John Arthur Potts is just about the nicest sumbitch you'll ever meet. Tall, good looking, maybe a little dull, but that's why everyone likes him, especially the ladies. Nothing much ever happens around here, and John Arthur aims to keep it thataway.

But he's got problems. The sheriff has been grafting the county for years, and it looks like he won't retire any time soon. When John Arthur's not collecting payoffs from prostitutes, gamblers, and meth cookers, he's shaking down unsuspecting black motorists on Gun Barrel Highway. Sometimes he even has to raid the evidence locker to support his wife's speed habit. Then there's his ex-wife who won't leave him alone, and a girlfriend who wants him to marry her. It's almost enough to compromise his personal integrity. What's a cowboy to do?

Lucky for him, John Arthur also has a secret: he's been playing the whole county for fools. Now God has called upon him to purge Real County of its sins, and he will have to make a few sacrifices. And he's fixing to solve all of his problems for good, one double-cross at a time.
