A SIMPLE Love story... Who knows?
The 1st time I drove into Bernie`s yard was August 13, 1994. The day of his mother`s funeral. Perhaps it was her spirit that guided me there.In the video you will see 3 deer, this place is 1/2 mile south of our home place, Bernie`s mother and her 8 brothers & sisters where born and raised there.The house where the photos of Bernie`s parents and sister are taken is just a few feet from where we live.Bernie's father, moving from Yugoslavia, made the small home from a grainary. Bernie`s sister pasted away in the Lamont school bus-train accident in 1960, the only day Bernie was sick and didn`t go to school. In one of the last photos of Bernie and his sister,shown here, he is only 12 years old...a few months before the accident.
Both Bernie and I where farm raised and wouldn`t trade it for the world although it is dedicated, trying, hard ,yet fore filling work.This video is dedicated to the 3 generations that have built,lived and live here. Watching Bernie and Olie together it is easy to see the respect, love and admoration these two have for each other even though Bernie is not Olie`s biological father. Being too blind at the time, I did not see how Bernie felt about me before, and he didn`t say. For those who know him, yes he is shy!
Bernie,everyday when I look into your eyes, I fall in love with you again. I am blessed to work with you 24-7. I am thankful we had always been friends and stayed close.
Olie, you fill me with hope for the future, always full of love for that which is around you. You get more and more like "Daddy" every day!

Simple song? Simple Love story? If they are, I wish to always take a simple path. How Simple it is to just open our eyes and truly SEE the joy,wonder and love God sends us.
This is my family. This is our life.
I will be updating this along with another song added this spring to more of our WARM weather and wild flowers that grow around here. As well as photos dating back to Bernie`s father`s home country from the 1920`s and his mother as a young woman.
