We have to take care about how much of green tech we allow in motorsport. E85 should be enough, and maybe some hybrid cars.

Electric cars will kill motorsport. Indeed, green tech isn't helping this sport to be as good as it once was.

@mptrax man, am not an engineer myself, that's what we've been said in a 30sec explanation. maybe you're an expert in the field but those guys doesn't seem like rookies either. if they're placing a gearbox in that thing is because it works one way or another. the development we were said was kind of expensive and none of this guys looked like they'd be wasting their money just for the sake of it

@stevegoldwing2008 what ?! motor managment ? I dunno where are you from. Here in EU we are able to build DIGITAL PWM controllers with over 60 pole inverter. Capable to recharge the batteries when you brake and offering over 96% regulator, engine, batteries total efficiency. Motors can turn from 0 to over 60K RPM. If you need a GERABOX in this conditions in mean you are a VIDEOGAME ADDICTED ! That's a different story. Cheers.

@mptrax we've talking to the the engineers that are involved in this project and, man, we can tell you, they do know what they're talking about. torque is not the problem. there's enough torque in there to tow a train. the deal is motors management

@stevegoldwing2008 Speed ? Electric engine DO NOT REQUIRE a GEAR BOX ! Ask to all electric engeneer you want ! MAX TORQUE is available from 0 to 15K RPM.... a geraq box is useless. Technicians alway LAUGH at electric sport cars with GEAR BOX. It's an USELESS feature and introduces more loss in the transmission. SURE you will reach tjhe same speed, with almost no losses. If you say this is a BS... it means you simply dunno Electric TRACTION and its advantages. bye.
