Before healthcare reform was passed, the U.S. did not have national protection against sexual discrimination in healthcare or insurance. Dr. Jennifer Ashton talks with Marcia Greenberger, founder of the National Women's Law Center, about protecting women's rights.
@ubsessedfananime It's alright. I apologize if I was rude.
Anyway, I can't comment on the birth/pregnancy thing. However, I would like to ask you to go to manwomanmyth com, visit the video page, and then watch the entire series from start to finish. It's great. It's very thought provoking.

@victorsvoice i'm not stupid but i looked it up and your right i apoligize.you make a good point its stupid too put more money into one thing than another of equal danger. the only thing is about woman's health compared to men is that because of things like birth and pregnancies woman may need more money put into healthcare for woman because woman i would assume would be at greater risk of health problems because of things like birth and pregnancy correct me if im wrong on that

@ubsessedfananime A man is 35% more likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer.
1 in 6 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.

@victorsvoice perhaps that is because it is far more common than prostate cancer

I read somewhere that 100 times as much money is given to breast cancer organizations for women compared to what's given to prostate cancer organization.

bullcrap. Women and minorities only use it as a tool these days, and white males face far more discrimination as a result of the employers fears of tangling with their support groups. Case and example:
While i was employed at Shaw Industries, a women was called to do my job to eliminate my overtime. She ran out of printer paper, let the job fail. She was not even warned, I was. I was told that she was a woman, that I needed to carry her some paper boxes.

The whole health care thing or the lack of it in the US seems pretty fucked up.
Everything seems to be based on profit making. It's not about helping or taking care of people. A rich country like the US doesn't even take care of its own people. It's pretty shocking.

insurance companies do not care, the insurance companies are trying to make money to keep on killing people silently!

The insurance companies are more out to make money rather than really cover people.
