  • Money can contribute to nature if the funds aren't the result of environmental exploitation. You can but some areas of forest. That way, no one can cut it down or harm it in any way. Problem is, most people do that in order to explore the resources of that land.

  • The Moon Walk is 100% bullshit. These poor people are being brainwashed by Lies on TV.

  • They believe in a flat earth?

  • This video touched me immensely. To see a 21 year old well educated woman from well to do, spiritual family renounce worldly life – Samsaara – is simply astounding. Only a select few can do it. Yes, it is true, and also a great mystery, that many multi-millionaire Jain businessmen have renounced material world, given up all their wealth, and have become penniless monks.

  • you dont eat potatoes because it might kill bugs but you build giant temples on top of millions of them? And pulling our your own hair, ovulating, unwillingly ejaculating from wet dreams don't cause pain or kill organisms? If you can't kill anything, why boil the water? It kills micro organisms in the water, there are billions of them. You brush where you sit, you are careful where you step, yet you build and walk and consume plants which are covered in organisms.

  • @ukgreaterlondon its done to make sure that the life of the ascetics is tough and there are no false prophets.

  • @ukgreaterlondon its to pull them out at the roots so they dont grow back as much as possible

this is so that there is less distraction (still have to piss and sweat I guess but one less thing to worry about, som monks let it grow matted but you can decide whats mor practical in a hot country) and its also a way of dismissing thoughts about your outwardly appearance and a form of self control and dedication

having said that I cant wait until we have a cue for male pattern baldness :P

  • Ouch!

  • Plucking hair is painful but is mainly done to avoid lice and other cleanliness issues associated with hair.
