@GeorgVanHalen I agree about CTTB. I've never gotten as much into the Morse era. There are some good songs here and there, including this one actually. But the last Purple album I really thought was top notch was Perfect Strangers.

@karlmoles65 - Bolin has been dead for over 30 years so there is no point in comparing. But "Come Taste The Band" was a really good album. Especially at a time when people must have thought that Deep Purple would be a "joke" without Ritchie Blackmore. Ritchie Blackmore was and is always the main axeman for Deep Purple but I think Tommy Bolin, Joe Satraini and Steve Morse all done the band justice. It took some time to get used to Steve Morses style in Deep Purple but he has done some great stuff
