  • roberto duran was one of the greatest fighters of all time. his defence was second to none

  • Ignorance is something to worry about, Palomino had trouble tagging Duran cus Duran you may hit him with the first punch but second and third forget it he's countering. Please fans analize don't hate, the boxing game is hard enough.

  • @thoostorm4 I always get a kick out of drawing out the weakest minded individuals like yourself that can't even pick up on an obvious joke comment. (Well, obvious for the intelligent anyway. ;) And so there you are, the idiot that took it serious.. LOL! (BTW, you forgot to comment on my Marvis Frazier comment as best P4P fighter dummy.) So, go count your brain cells. Hint: Just use one hand. ;D

  • @Ghstwn you wouldnt last half a round with either one faggotboy

  • Duran,... Palomino,... Are you kidding? These guys were the Hostess Twinkies of boxing.

Marvis Frazier was, and remains the best Pound 4 Pound fighter ever!

  • @toby099

I've got both men's official biographies. Duran was not his usual self around Hearns and never tried to intimidate him the way he did with Leonard and Hagler.

  • @BruceinFalkirk

I don' think Roberto was really intimidated, the guy feared no other human on earth, but I think at some point before the fight he realised that Hearns could hurt him very very badly and that the fight was a little bit of a mismatch.

  • @MultiRocketman007

Wrong. Duran was always intimidated by Hearns, it's in his biography and Hearns' biography. Hearns would have beaten him, by massacre, any time they ever could have met.

Ayala? Who did Ayala ever beat that indicated he would even lay a glove on Hearns?

  • Yes my friend! Having a great under-card was insurance in case the main event was a stinker. Then promoters got greedy cheap and threw in 2-bit under-cards so they could put more of your money in their deep pockets. As for the big "H" People hated Howard Cosell cuz he was an ass. Even George Foreman called him a racist on live TV. Mike Tyson loved Mexicans! And we love Mike Tyson!

  • @tayzerdbaby33 it's not howard cossel comentating fool.. btw .. as a Jew Howard had to take a lot of racial abuse and misuse coming up the ranks so to say he doesnt like any group of nationality is flat out dumb

  • Unbelievable that this was an undercard bout. A great era before the big decline.

  • Howard Cosell did not like Mexicans. I hope he died a painful death. The knockdown was actually the 3rd suffered by Carlos Palomino. The 1st was against Zovek Barrajas, 2nd knockdown against Armando Muniz, and this one.
