I remember my first O-Flight haha, great times- However, one thing that bugs me is the Cadet's Cover (hat). I'm a Flight Commander so I notice things, but His hat needs to be Starched and rolled! Good thing he wasn't in my squadron...

@AeroRamer i remember my first glider flight XD i was helping some guys put the glider in a um lock thing (the part that lifts up the tail so its not draggint on the ground and keeps it from moving) and one of the guys pushed on teh wing while we were turning and i had said stop and the tail got ripped......

the coolest part of gliders, out the two times I've flown one in Civil Air Patrol, has to be when you get to release the tow rope

@AirmanBeHeader No, I'm not talking ranger rolled. I'm talking about rolling the brim of his hat and blocking the inside so it looks uniform. Also, when you have Glider O-Flights, you're under a canopy inside a cockpit that can easily get above 100 degrees. At 3000 feet, the sun beats down on you like you wouldn't believe. So I can understand hats being worn.

@TheHandsFreeMethod Rolled? As in ranger rolled? I don't see any LL patch on his shoulder. And also, hat's generally have no place on the flight-line, except on very sunny days which this video doesn't look like.

@pabandit1 There is no pre-defined flight training from CAP but there may be some CAP Senior Member that are also CAP Pilots and Certified Flight Instructors (CFI) that may be able to work with a cadet that it is interested in learning to fly. Check with you local CAP Squadron. Good Luck.

He did not. It was not a lesson flight. it was just an Orientation Flight. But sometimes the PIC may let a cadet hold the controls to let them feel what is like.
