Eric draws himself as the animator in this one, yes.
Otherwise, Red Shetland was an actual comic book by Jim Groat and Richard Konkle during the late '80s and early '90s. Schwartz was hired by Groat to do an animated short, for use in pitching the comic as a SatAM cartoon show.
So while Schwartz' own fursona appears as the animator, most of the other characters are copyrighted to Groat and Konkle, with the exception of a few (such as myself, the unicorn wearing shades).

Sorry, folks. Yeah, the entire soundtrack was killed by WMG. Because it wasn't just music, but included bumpers at both ends and remastered original sound, adding one of the optional "freebie" soundtracks was pointless because it would still be missing content. Nor have I been able to find free music that sounds appropriate, at least not to me. Ah well...
