i honestly dont like the look of it that much .

@zx12ryder when they get dropped they do, all of the boxer range do, but the covers are seriously easy to replace and also you can get covers for them, so its not all bad,

@HouourableDavid This is interesting info....i am glad you thoroughly explained the differences. I thought the HP2 was a decent looking bike also but the cylinder heads the way the stuck out the sides seems they would be proned to scraping more so than the s1000.

@zx12ryder well, the hp2 is so much more bespoke, the blue frame, the highly tuned boxer engine, the fact it is hand made, the completely digital display, including the rev counter, the little marker when you start it up that suggests not revving it past a certain point, the fact it is so rare, i have only met on guy who owns one, and i work for bmw ;p the s1000 is a cracking bike, dont get me wrong, but i just prefer the hp2 :)
-
why would you choose the hp2 over the s1000. Just wondering what your opinion is on both bikes.
-
its very comfortable,just go and sit on a k6 gixxer and you will see its more or less the same seating position and gsxr's are by far the most comfortable sports bikes out of all the bike avaliable today....
-

don't know how big 6'3" is, we don't use that system ;-) It's normal about the pegs and bars, it's a super sportsbike. In Belgium the 1000RR is only available starting next year I think.
@Goolyfer
Well, it's surely true that BMW has been out of the Superbike loop for years, but they are hardly inexperienced at it.
Remember, Reg Pridmore won the very first World Superbike on a BMW R90S in the 70's. Sure, that old boxer is nothing like today's machines, but BMW has always kept up with technology. All it took was someone to make the decision to get back into the game, and in 9 months, they went from drawing board to production with this bike.
