To educate a kid requires 2 things esp in CA: 1st of all it requires Taxes coming from property tax and state tax! No tax revenue = no education! 2nd, the people must value education; graduate high school & get into college to get a good job so they can pay taxes! Most Latinos do not value education, hence no job so .: they do not pay taxes, and not only that, Latinos put a burden on state by joining gangs, going on welfare, & going to jail .: wasting our tax revenue!
Is that supposed to be cute?....elementary school kids holding up protest signs...little girls used as political props? This is absolutely disgusting .Year after year- vermin like the CTA spend millions, and use children to promote their pleas for more tax dollars. Like these children...at grade school levels, can actually, mentally weigh the effects of the poor budgeting and wasteful spending of school beauracrats against the enormous tax burden placed upon their parents....just disgusting!!!!!!
The no child left behind reduced class sizes years ago. So what good did that do. L.A. still has a fifty % drop out rate. P.S. My wife works for the school district so dont try to give me a bunch of B.S. I know the scoop!!!Her Principal makes 170k a year!...Learn how to budget...not waste your money!...then there wont be layoffs. Because frankly ..we cant afford anymore taxes for fiscally irresponsible educators who turn out a crappy product anyway!
i love this video. very well put together. please check out my video of the protest held by me and other righetti high school students the day before pink friday
MUSD of montebello succeeded in not laying off any teachers because we believe that if you take the teacher away from the student that student cant learn
3/13 actually is about the kids & the teachers. This affects the kids because class size will now increase as a result of laying off teachers, intervention programs are cut, as well as music and art. I think we're paid more than other states because of the cost of living adjusment. In New Mexico, I can make much less there, but live better than in CA. BTW I PAY $ (not get paid) to attend workshops and its on my own time. The protest also took place before school, not during school.
AND...if it really is "the kids" you are so concerned about. Leave this budget drama OUT of the classroom!!!! But you wont do that. Instead of receiving this so-called, valuable education...they will spend days , like today, worrying about what color they where to school....and what problems the teachers are "battling"---or maybe the teachers who are so concerned about the kids wont even show up to work. They will be out crying about a pink slip, instead of "teaching" our children.
