See, I still do boss runs occansionally. It's just that I don't get alot of time on my hands to practice games in order to do them. Plus, you really don't get to see how hard the games are this way.
All the bosses from the classic Space Harrier. Don't blink or you'll miss them.
This game's definately a toughie in spots, stage 17 being utterly insane. Having played Space Harrier 2 to death as a kid helped big time.

The video also shows perhapes one of the daftest deaths i've suffered since I first started. It was a funny moment, so I included it. Even when you're not recording commentary (which is the biggest cause of screw ups in my Let's Plays. I'm a guy, I can't multitask @.@ ), you still mess up occansionally. Well, actually often, but this death occured on the "This is serious now" run of the game, and I just laughed.

This is the Sega 32x version of Space Harrier, and is basically an arcade perfect port of the original.
All bosses are recorded, including the boss rush stage, which, oddly occurs after what would normally be the final boss.
This video was recently featured on GameTrailers.com.
None of my other videos that I uploaded have been as lucky, but still.

  • Can you record 2 videos like "Space Harrier (Master System) - boss run" and "Space Harrier 2 - boss run"?

  • Already did a Space Harrier 2 Boss Run, see the video response. It was my third video on Youtube.

  • At least you didn't just get owned by a dragon named Squilla. Well, you DO have the space beam gear. (Obscure reference for the win.)

Why didn't you name the bosses? The names are all listed at the boss rush, after all. XD Ah well...

  • Only the few bosses that make it to the boss rush are named... theres the rest of the generic filler bosses that aren't. :P

  • One more comment from me: Since Space Harrier is an 1980's video game, how come it never got referenced on Family Guy or American Dad yet?

  • @EkajTheSwordsman 32x, faithful to the arcade version and no load times

  • Wait...Is Space Harrier better on the 32X, Sega CD, or Saturn?

  • I play this on shenmue >:D

  • these bosses seem way too easy

  • @montivistaman Sort of.

The 32x was an expansion console for the Sega Megadrive/Genesis, a plug in that made the console more powerful. This game was for that expansion.

The AVGN has done a video of the 32x which gives you a pretty good indication of what it is.

  • this looks like the arcade to me

  • luv the Parms boss music.

This should be an Imax 3d movie!

  • Thanks for the upload. I spent a lot of hours on this game....

  • Jeez, how do you press the fire button so fast for so long? my thumb is tired by the third level...
