This singer knows all his kung-fu movie cliches. 1: The master with that typical cliche grand master voice actor with a slight posh accent; 2: the typical kung-fu student who is not convinced his training is getting him anywhere; 3: Mixing western and eastern names such as John Fong or Billy Lang; 4: My all time favorite cliche (at 2:25) "There was a move I didn't teach Billy Lang, a move if done correctly, nobody stands a chance".
I have seen all these in many kung-fu movies.
