Alec Loorz global warming speech

http://kids-vs-global-warming.com Worldlink is an annual event for youth to raise awareness of global issues. The theme for this conference was, "Untying global knots: global warming poverty, corruption, media bias."

I spoke on a panel at the beginning along with 4 other PhD's, including a woman who did some research for the IPCC, the organization that won the nobel peace prize along with Al Gore.

Over 700 high schools students attended, from 27 different schools, and I got the first standing ovation in the 11 years the conference has been running.

I also do presentations to schools and environmental groups from all around California. The focus of the presentations is to Educate youth about Global Warming and empower them to take action.

Good speech, but think if James Hansen isn't right. Almost no scienteist think he is right on the climate issue (but Gore uses Hansen as an advisor.

if we're serious about this we need to end the commute with internet logistics so we can work near home. we need to change lawns and golf courses to food. we need to get all this toxic plastic out of the waste stream. turn off those outside lights that distract plants and animals and burn energy. stop killing trees for jesus. and learn to live locally like the original tribes did. and alot more. want more? just ask. it won't be easy but we could do it.

I wish people would stop debating over whether or not Global Warming is a myth. It allows for the government to justify things like Cap and Trade and for people to brush off environmentalists. You don't need one specific theory to make you see that our environment is being exploited and polluted. I applaud Alec because he is proactively trying to change the destruction of our atmosphere, but I do hope that he sees the bigger picture rather than cling to Global Warming.

Alec, I am sorry that you have fallen for the anthropogenic global warming story. I hope you have done some research on the other side and continue to do so. A climate legal scholar at U of Penn published an excellent paper using the writings and papers published in scientific journals to point out that human caused climate change is not certain, and in fact very much in doubt by the SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY. Not just the skeptics.

Alec, please, please read the other side, be open to debate.

Cap and Trade (American Power Act) would increase gas prices increase by $2.58 a gallon according to George C.
