On March 30, 2008 we were traveling by Via Rail from Ottawa to Cobourg Ontario. In the Train Station the Ottawa Valley N-Trak Model Railroading Club had set up a display for the enjoyment of everyone.
I joined the youngsters as we rushed from scene to scene around the set up. Watching the faces of the children and listening to their comments was part of the fun.
As a boy I lived very close to the railway tracks and the rail yard. The great Titans of Steel were a part of our family. Their lonesome whistle or the clackity clack of their wheels - were a familiar boyhood sound for me.
Thank you to the management of the Via Rail Station for allowing this great group to show your customers what railroading is all about!
Thanks guys of OVNT Club....for a job well done.

PS... I added some of the sounds to the video...model railroading is not quite this loud..
They need some barriers there or things are going to get damaged by excited hands!

the CN coal train was NICE, but the caboose ruined it ! if the van was more modern than it would be alright !
