  • Thanks! I think I've pretty much learned everything to do with the pen tool, so I'm working with the mesh tool.

Question- can you pen out the shape of the arm with the pen tool instead of starting with the box? Will it end out the same as far as having the mesh right?

  • @acidsyringe69 the issue is when you add the mesh to a freehand or pen tooled shape the mesh becomes hard if not impossible to shape accurately. The square forces the mesh to stay clean.

Try both and see what you like better.

    Thanks

  • Ive been wrestling with the mesh tool on complex shapes for the last 2 months moderately complex shapes fine but complex shapes the mesh lines go where ever they feel like, Im making a game so Ive got a lot of art work to do and Im too much of a perfectionist for my own good, I thought Id never get it done, this rectangle trick has saved my sanity thank you so much :)))))))

  • @rocketmunkey1 Same happened to me. Unfortunately I did loose my mind. lol

  • Todd, For the bust area, did you create the colors flat and then "shape" them using a mesh for shading? I can't get over how precise the polka dots are. Could you share where you got the reference image?

  • @TheRealAndroid

The dots are hand drawn and colored to give the illusion they are wrapping around.

    Thanks, Todd

  • The name of his file is MILF....nice.

  • Insted of using the reshaping tool, why don't you just press Alt with the Direct Selection Tool selected ? It will save you a lot of time :)
