In the world of co-ed corporate softball leagues, you have three choices: hire only good softball players, find ringers outside the company, or lose. At 352 Media Group, an interactive design agency in Gainesville, FL, we chose option two, bringing in University of Florida senior and All American NCAA softball pitcher Stacey Nelson. Since our league is slow pitch (and so nobody gets killed), Stacey plays third base. However, it was inevitable that someone would challenge her skills. You see, watching her pitch on ESPN doesn't do her justice. And besides, she's a girl...surely she can't strike out a big strong man. Right?

  • the only reason why she struck him out is because the fact is is that softballs arrive faster to the plate and the pitchers mound in softball is closer to the plate

  • @Bluecomet489 softballs arrive faster than what? Slowpitched softballs?

  • i could totally crank that all day

  • that's exactly what Gary thought...looks easier on film!

  • That was a fun video. That's only fitting because Stacey Nelson's Univerisity of Florida softball teams were fun and good and classy. Stacey will be missed. It's really the end of an era at the University of Florida sports with Stacey graduating as well as Tim Tebow. No university has had classier more community oriented kids and I don't just mean Nelson and Tebow. And that's even more important than winning.

  • @gatorpv18 oh i didn't know that cool but can you explain it in an easier way i can't really get the whole sense what your saying. i can't understand intelligent talk sorry :P

  • @Bluecomet489 well, the fact that the plate is closer sure helps. However the actual velocity of a baseball pitched (topping out around 100mph) is typically higher than that of a fastpitched softball (topping out around 72mph).

  • @Bluecomet489 softballs arrive faster to the plate and baseballs arrive slower to the plate than a softball its a fact.

  • @gatorpv18 nope baseballs

they arrive faster to the plate

  • i play softball and it's hard when you know about the game but have never played before. I am a pitcher i throw a 57mph fastball, and "when your playing softball just because the game is called "softball" doesn't mean its soft!" it's the bases that are soft.

  • Stevehound76...WTF.. Knock her teeth out??? What is wrong with you, dude?? Anyway, I don't know how you would find the time to meet up with Stacy to try to hit one of those burners. I mean, with your demanding job at WalMart's shoe department?? They are not gonna give a valuable sock stuffer like you a day off. Plus, I'm pretty sure the buses don't run past the softball field...Jerk....

  • the guy at bat sucks!!!!give me a chance to hit one of those balls i will knock her teeth out!!!!!there a way to hit a softball and that guy,,,didnt have it!!!!
