Comedian Louis CK candidly answered fans' questions on the popular website Reddit during one of its so-called "ask me anything" sessions.
The 44 year old performer-writer-director, whose birth name is Louis Szekely, gave insights into his life, both professional and personal. He explained acquiring total creative control over his critically-acclaimed FX comedy "Louie" was in exchange for a shoestring budget and little personal profit. He openly pined for the day he could afford to make another movie, or even buy a house. But, true to his stand up act, Louis balanced sobering reality with general silliness, admitting his least favorite memory was wetting his pants as a child in front of "everybody," which inexplicably included former US President Jimmy Carter and the Pope.
The Q&A was part of a promotional push for Louis's new stand up special, Live at the Beacon Theater, which he has made available exclusively on his website for the unheard of price of US$5. It is the latest project in a storied career both before and behind the camera, which includes writing for landmark television series like Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Saturday Night Live, and directing the 2001 comedy film Pootie Tang alongside friend and collaborator Chris Rock.
