@Spartan2240 There is no definite ending. It was left vague on purpose, as so few movies do these days. It lets you decide what happens. Its sad how spoonfed everyone is these days.

I would imagine that the alpha was dying, as well as Ottway. If Ottway had lost, the other wolves would've devoured him, right? But if you kill the alpha, the pack backs off. That's what I've heard, so I'd imagine that Ottway got the alpha into the state of dying, and Ottway would'v later died as well, wounded, no food, etc.

one of the best endings to a film ive seen in a long time, powerful yet still enough of a sense of wonder at what might of happend. keeps you thinking long after the film has ended. for me thats what a good film should do.

@pvtjamesryan3 Movie soundtracks always seem to miss a few tracks. Sometimes the ones that fans loved most. Still puzzles me.
