DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME ;-}
The 36 methods Qigong is a martial arts oriented qigong.

Notice that in the second move the wave should be practiced in two directions (up and down).

Master Zhou jingxuan performs two methods.

  • Was the first excercise taken or related to a drunken form or drunken style?

  • Nope.

    No connection.

  • I love that spine shaker move..

    Nice flexibility

  • It's actually kind of a wave and not a shake. You can see that the hands are drawing a circle to one direction and then to the other.

  • It is a body wave with a lock (yoga term: bandha) applied at the pelvis. The principle is that if you can undulate in waves or circular movement freely beyond a lock, the level of relaxation is high enough to enable the cleansing of the fascia. The challenge is to open the grantis knots at the lower dantian (gate of life = Brahma knot), middle dantian (crushing bone = Vishnu knot) and upper dantian (jade pillow = Rudra knot). Without sufficient inner peace or meditation, the knots remain locked.
