Maybe not the best way but it works and may work on larger blades

  • I never fool with those fans in that much detail in drink coolers , I just wack them with a screw driver handle while running till they stop hitting stuff , and stop vibrating like hell lol

  • @towrecker You would do that.... but in the drink coolers they rattle anyway lol. This came from an old fridge and I wanna make a desk fan from it.

  • Pretty neat idea man!

  • @mbyr31 Ive done it with the old big square box fans with the metal blades and it worked. Something I read in an old library book when I was like 4 LOL, thanks man!

  • @towrecker good grief!!! I got a 12 inch single amber light in my room and its bright as F... stuff with just a 7 watt bulb in it!!! lol

  • @More350Power yeah I know , I want to put 2 of the lenses in my front bumper , flashing side to side ha ha ha

  • @towrecker Nope, not stolen..... given to me just like the street light you didnt see :) That one is an 8 inch diameter lens which is considered illegal for traffic control from the 1950's. They sell 12 volt incandescent bulbs with the regular base... used in motor homes. I made a timer for that stoplight also ;) Ebay ebay ebay if your looking!!! though I knew the right person for this one!

  • @redneck2010ize 10-4 you got it! Old milk crates make great cases as do small hamster cages!

  • @daddytech Possibly, but with most of these the blades are aluminum and once you have balanced / straightened them they are quieter. The main thing is the balance but you also have a probably small change in air flow if you knock the blade pitch off. I had bent one of the blades when I removed this motor and I want to make a desk fan out of it that doesnt rattle LOL

  • could you not use solder or melt lead on the blade to balance it if it's just say slightly worn out bearings.

  • @towrecker LOL yap you would do that!! LOL LOL

  • hahaha i gots me an idea redneck cheep fans lol just use the ones outa old aplinces
