Thanks for putting up this great scene; but I tell you what it's not improvised. Cassavetes wrote it, and he's such a good writer, so brilliant at capturing natural speech and emotion, that it comes across as improvised.

I've read the script, all I know is the filmed scene is much longer and diverges heavily from the shooting script version

Tim Carey is so wonderful! I always thought he looked like a cross between Alice Cooper and Vincent Schaveli.
