Paul, I see the airlock is driven by an RC type servo but is the mechanical actuator part totally scratchbuilt? I'm looking to put the air vents on my case under software control. Is there any feedback to prevent gear stripping and motor burnout?

Yeah it's scratchbuilt. Made from old CDROM drives and aluminum stock. Thereis a cut-off switch at both ends of the movement to prevent stripping. It's all controlled from a IR board and remote.
