My grandfather worked at the Orange Empire Railway Museum too and I got to stay in the Bunkhouse also. It has indeed changed. He put in a ton of hours at the Grizzly Flats Railroad Barn. I was there between 1991 and 1996! I recently got a chance to come and visit 2 weeks ago again. I went there almost every weekend in those years! I was so fascinated by trains. It makes me happy to see that the OERM still brings joy to kids today!

Yes, one steam locomotive runs at the museum. The Ventura County #2, which was the locomotive shown in the video. I have some nice footage of her running from the railroad museum to the airfield museum on May 20, 2007. I would be glad to show it, but I still have to figure out how to upload it to YouTube. Glenn.
