http://www.khaosanroad.com interviews travelers around the Khaosan Road (ksr) area in Thailand. In this clip some Q&A about kanchanaburi, patpong, ping pong show and recommendations.
I went about 10 years ago and got the train from the airport to the main station, cost was something like 20 baht one-way (we think there was a festival that brought the prices down a bit), then a bus round to near Khao San Road was 8 baht.
Prices have naturally gone up but private busses and taxis really are the pricey way to do things if you are are on a budget.
Taxi from Khao San to Airport cost us somethin like 300baht including HighwayToll (ca. 70BHT). Taxis are the cheapest and the safest way to travel through bangkok but under one condition - you have to use it with Taxi Meter. Drivers do not always agree for this, but there are thousands of cabs and you can always find the fair one.
For example trip from Kao San to Wat Arun or China Town costs about 60-70BHT.
hello everyone, me and my friends will be in Bangkok next month and we would like to see a pingpong show, your comments and suggestions will be highly appreciated. thank you.
A taxi from the airport to Khao San Road is way more expensive than a shuttle bus. I did the airport -> Khao San Road and return trip six times total, by taxi. 700 baht is the absolute minimum.
@Girolamopompetta1 I'd pay a lot more than that for those two..
