I've been making this pickup for 7 years and recently made it more bullet proof with a nickel silver cover and a little less fancy and shorter build time. The FC pickup was designed for a Portland jazz player and you can hear his audio clips on my website if you want to hear what flatwounds sound like with this pickup.
Many pickup makers make a blade single coil but they all sound alike and are just wire wrapped on a steel blade. The Fat C is an original design and captures the out of phase style tones heard on some recordings of original ES150 Charlie Christian Gibson archtops. The pickup will fit ANY humbucker guitar, but best suited for archtops and jazz or jump blues style music. This pickup is unique and one of my favorites, so finally got it here for you to check out on YouTube....Enjoy!
Thanks,
Dave Stephens

I dropped the price on these too, so contact me from my website for the new pricing. Its a cool pickup with a very unique tone and building method unlike anything else out there.

I forgot to mention that the buzzing you hear is because the strings in this guitar aren't grounded unless I touch the bridge pickup cover which I tried to do most of the time. The FC neck pickup by itself is actually a pretty quiet pickup by itself in a properly grounded guitar ;-)
