This is psx4pandora running Final Fantasy 7. psx4pandora is a Playstation 1 emulator for the upcoming gaming handheld, Pandora.

This particular video shows the Pandora running at 600MHz. This is more true to how things will feel on the Pandora during normal gameplay, hovering around the NTSC 60FPS.

This is a higher quality video than previous attempts at recording.

  • What?

This is the original FF7, where you play as Cloud.

  • You should read the specs on the PSP and the Pandora. The Pandora is much better and iirc its main processor is double the PSP's, not to mention the additional 110MHz GPU. The Pandora is so powerful it could be argued that it should be in the netbook category of computing.

  • Why there is no "l" letter, while choosing the names? Also what with the sound? Well anyway, when i will buy this, i will enjoy FF7 even without sound. Eat that PSP with your 5 hours or something.

  • is there supposed to be sound?

Actually, there's two near-perfect emulators for PC right now-

no$gba, which is REALLY fast, but now discontinued (so you have to patch the crap out of new games)

and desmume, which is REALLY accurate, but a little bit slow as it's not designed for speed.

  • @Mimical Psp is way better..(FACT)

  • @RetroShinigami Yes they are, They are noticeably larger.

  • I doubt DS emulation, this has a cortex arm 8 processor Single core and the way the DS handles Processes is with an arm7 and arm9 dual setup. Thats the reason emulation of it on PC is so difficult and often is completely pointless as games run like shit. devs havent even found a good way to get it running on PC much less a handheld that has about a quarter the specs of your average modern PC

  • Well, the general vibe in the community (from the dev's point of view) is that DS emulation could be quite possible, but not to hold your breath- there's no guarantee as it would require a whole new emulator to be written, rather than just having one ported (Desmume is just too slow for the Pandora).

  • @brazzbazz

Yeah. Especially it is better that Microsoft handheld.

  • @dakidukno First the ds has dual screens and playing on this device would not only be unpleasant but impractical. Second just because you think the hardware looks good and is better than the ds doesn't mean it can emulate it. You have to account for the operating system running in the background and the console recreating the ds within the software.

  • Actually...from wut im seeing on the specs....this might be able to emulate the DS...
