The original ancient version is on Paul Odette's recording "Ancient Ayres and dances" Paul Odette, Rogers Covey-Crump John Holloway, Nigel North, Christel Thielmann hypérion CDA66228. Great thanks !

Respighi is simply one of the most beautiful composers. These is two of my favorite pieces.

I don´t know up to whon it is the lack of promotion of Respighi's music. He is indeed one of the greatest composers of all times, not only of the 20th Century. Great combination. Thanks.

well i think its because u cant compare (in quantity) the repertoire of someone like Mozart or Beethoven, but since the first time i heard respighi, i really loved his music! Im playing his Notturno per pianoforte this semester :D its beautiful u should listen to it!
