  • those engines are propain powered locomotives. engine1 and engine4 are my

    favorite locomotives.

  • @blingkid823 - All four WDW RR locomotives are oil fired, not propane.

  • Fire heats water, turning it to steam, which is used to power the engine. Its as real as it gets.

  • Roy is a beautiful engine. She has a lovely bark, & a beautiful 3-chime whistle.

  • Rumor has it that they believe Roy's whistle may have originally come from a steam boat. No word on how it ended up on Roy. But it sure sounds great!

  • I love it when the train came out the tunnel in a cloud of steam.

  • @rahbbayrahb420 WRONG.... All 4 trains( the Walt,Roger, Roy And Lillybelle are all diesel. I used to drive them in the 1990s and I used to help refuel them at night as well. If you didn't know that then you never knew the park at all. Those trains are lovingly taken care of as are the parks and you are talking CRAP mate because the Magic Kingdom didn't open til 1972 so during the 70s the place was new..

  • The WDWRR does not use bio diesel only Disneyland does. WDW still uses #2 Diesel fuel. The shot of the Broggie coming out of the tunnel with her cylinder cocks open reminds me of Disneylands Fred Gurley whose 1 cylinder cock always leaks as she steama around the park...

  • @applesweeter although there is no coal in hong kong, they could have used oil for the locomotives instead since thats what disneyland and walt disney world use for their steam trains.

  • @JuniorSpaceAce There were once two steam boats on the Rivers of America. One was name the Admiral Joe Fowler, but due to a maintenance accident, the boat was scrapped and some say it's whistle is now on the Roy O.

  • @joshmeister4449 you may be thinking of when 2248 was in the blue and yellow down at Texas State RR it never went to Disney land, nor could it have being standard gauge.

  • Wrong these trains are not powered by propane they are Bio-diesel!!!!! Not PROPANE I am tired of people saying propane please get it right if your trying to state a fact or go work for Disney for a while and you will see :) Thank You have a Great Day

  • @joshmeister4449: No, the 2248 is a STANDARD gauge locomotive, the railroads in Disney are all narrow gauge.

  • The camp ground train was better feel of it than that loop... what happened!!!!! :-[

  • Disney converted all engines to natural gas and it is very sickening , intoxicating smell, like visiting a gas station and smelling the fucking fuel while pumping, Disney has done so much crap to save money, I am one whom knew the park in the 70's, early 80's... disney is letting the parks fall a part.
