@Yellyist That's right man the Russians killed 20 million of their OWN people. So who are the REAL good guys. But they don't teach that in school because it isn't the Jews who are the victims. @TheUncleDougger yes and he got a fair trial. It was one of the only if not they only case of a soldier being exicuted for desertion since ww2. In russia this was rampent

@guerillafilmproduct why fucked up ? when you go to war, if you decide to desert you are a traitor and you will be shot .. this is standard practice in ALL armies, not only russian army and is NOT AT ALL FUCKED UP .. if you run, there is a chance that whole squad will abandon the post, enemy will come in and kill way more of YOUR people .. better to kill one traitor than to suffer very heavy losses because one guy turned COWARD..

US Army executed Pvt. Eddie Slovik for desertion in WW2. Eisenhower personally reviewed and approve the sentence, and also denied Slovik's written appeal.
