Lucky Plush does a "how to" of our mash-up featuring iconic moments in dance past and present. Visit www.stealthisdance.com www.luckyplush.com.
In conjunction with our 10th anniversary project Punk Yankees, Lucky Plush Productions created www.StealThisDance.com, an homage to Abbie Hoffmans Steal This Book (1971). The site is intended to stimulate discussion and interaction around questions about intellectual property and the value of dance. The site documents our ongoing work on Punk Yankees, and our experimentation with sampling, remixing, and appropriating physical movement.
We are also compiling a list of illegal arts incidents and incidences related to sampling, appropriation, and copyright law, as well as keeping a blog, in which we will discuss the ongoing project . Be sure to visit us at www.StealThisDance.com and give us your feedback!

The essential and most important dance style that made this dance complete is j-setting which is now an underground dance that very feminine gay black men are doing in the clubs.

There are details missing about how the Single Ladies (Put A Rign On It) video came to be. One of the choreographers did use fosse as inspiration and a homage.

I really enjoy steal this dance. I also enjoy all the warmups and practices before you dance. I;m going warm up like that throughout the day and do some of these dances. I think it will make me happy.
