The most amazing organ playing you will ever see. Joe Bowen of Fletcher Music Centers, hands down best musician I have ever known. Played on the Lowrey Prestige, Filmed at Fletcher Music Centers, Melbourne, Florida.

  • Only playing 6 months and you can already tell what sexual preference an instrument is, you must take lessons. That organ 1st off isn't mine, I couldn't afford it ($77,000) and 2nd, that isn't me playing (I'm not that good) And yes B-3's are awesome. Not all hammonds are awesome, some are terrible. Good luck with your playing, this one is hard to learn but not too hard. Practice practice practice.

  • @superwilson25 any rock organ player should be able to play this intro, what is impressive to me is the whole piece being played, this took a lot of programing and time. Joe is classicly trained and can play organ as well as anyone I have ever seen. You see B's, C's and A's on TV because they are a lot easier to haul around than this beast, also because they are simple and you don't need 1000 different sounds when playing along with a band, the Hammond sound is really all anyone needs on stage:)

  • does anyone know where I can get the sheet music for this?

  • I have no clue, never seen any sheet music for this piece. Joe learned it by ear. There are a few tutorials on youtube that might help you figure it out. Good luck.

  • i got the t15 kilowatt amp its about 25,000 dollars it almost broke my windsheald i am wondering if i can hook that up to the organ

  • Probably can do that, your nieghbors may not like it much, lol.

  • How the heck do you lug that thing to a gig?

  • Sounded great. Nice imitation Hammond sound there. Nice work on an old classic.

  • @hiian123

After all these years in the music industry, I still don't understand why amateur musicians feel compelled to offer their opinion as to why they wouldn't own or play a particular piece of equipment. Who gives a rats hind end what you think? You're not playing the gig, you aren't even involved so your opinion really doesn't matter. LMAO.

  • i want a vintage hammond b3 not a new digital boring lowrey

  • It would be better to buy a previously used Lowrey organ than pay the price of a new Lowrey as it will depeciate so fast as it is the worst invenstment unless you plan on keeping it for a life time. The best investment is the Hammond B-3 and external Leslie 122 as they always keep their value! But Lowrey organs are more fun to play on than any organ!

  • @kegginstructure

Wow. The last Lowrey was a C-500? Moses' grandmonther played that at his wedding. Automation? You can turn that off. It's the same thing with Technics, Yamaha, Roland, etc. They are all the same. All it takes is knowledge of how to use them.

  • I used to own a Lowrey - in fact, via trade-ups, SIX Lowrey models ending with the C500 (Celebration), a console with heavy-duty theatrical styling. However, when they went to the MX series, I stepped away because they overdid the automation. You had to make the darned thing brain-dead to play anything other than the crazy arrangements they had preset into the instrument. I am now a Technics person. Sad that they no longer make consoles.

  • @jazzpiano10

    Stick to piano.........

  • I have no clue is this is a decent organ or not, but alas! A proper control panel! It harkens back to the days of ELP and the Yamaha GX1.

As the lord and scholar Keith Emerson denoted in a recent interview, keyboarded instruments are meant to be performed, not just played!

  • This thing costs 85,000? No instrument is worth that. You could hire a band to come and play with you for an almost indefinite amount of time for that money, and still have money left over for a real B3 and leslie. I mean, unless the one man band thing is you schtick, honestly though, I think its pretty tacky. Be it an organ like this, or an arranger. Rather have a B3, Rhodes and Moog any day.

Oh, and the great thing about real B3's? They actually sound like a B3, not a digital emulation.
