Just a few blocks from the University of Michigan-Flint campus, a construction project in 2008 unearthed an early Native American burial ground. A professor from UM-Flint and some of her former students are helping The Ziibiwing Center in the recovery of the ancestral remains.

  • I don't think people realize that this was a construction development that uncovered the the burial grounds not the archeologists. Read the description!

  • how would you people like it if i went and dug up your ancestors your nothing more than grave robbers

  • "Rest In Peace".  Should we not honor the dead of all peoples and apply that to all ?

  • im realy dont like peopl digging in native american burial sites but if its to lean im ok with that just bury all the things u find back or the ancesters will be upset
