  • I'm from Indiana and this song left me speechless, the pictures, everything. I've been praying for everyone affected by the tornados, the ones who lost family members and friends and will continue to pray. I can't begin to imagine. I wish I knew how to help. I've been wanting to drive over and help out the best that I can. May God walk beside each and every one of you through this rough time and may you find peace. Keep your heads held high. :)

  • I am from Joplin, born and raised. My babies were born at St. John's Hospital, which now stands in ruins. The funerals began this week. So much devastation and despair. Just when I think the tears have surely run dry, I see this video and the floodgates open back up. Joplin is strong and proud. We will survive this...

  • I hate country music, and i hated Joplin MO so much that I left, but I lived there for most of my life and I can't help but to be moved by this. My heart goes out to all my loved ones and everyone else in Joplin.

  • I am a surviver of the Tornado. I saw it hit St. Johns. I was coming strait at us. My Husband saved me. I was a dear in the headlights. we came out of hiding after the 2nd. siron. We thought it was over. We were wrong. I am in a womens shelter and my Husband is in the streets of Springfield Mo. Thanks FEMA.

  • My mom and dad were from Joplin, and though I was born in Ohio, JoMo is as much a home to me as anywhere. I visited family every summer as a child, went to Missouri Southern as an undergraduate, and every person on this planet that I am related to - except my son - lives in the 64801. I went back twice this summer to help dig the city out, and even now, five months later, this song brings the overpowering and gut-wrenching memories I have.

God Bless Joplin - your sons and daughters love you!

  • I went to Joplin twice to help clean up. The people I met there were great. So many of them had lost everything, but were worried to take stuff in case someone else needed it more. This is out of the news, but it's not cleaned up yet. Remind people of this disaster. You know the saying, Gone but not forgotten? Well switch that. Joplin's problem is, Forgotten but not gone.

  • I live in Reading Ks and sitting here watching this even 3 months after a tornado tore our tiny town apart is still enough to make my cry for all my neighbors who lost their homes. Over half of the homes in our tiny town were destroyed. So happy to see our town starting to recover. Seeing these photos. reminds me alot of what it was like around here as. Well God bless Joplin and Reading.
