Examples in matches of some of Sakura's mix up options after an ex.tatsu. I comment on mix-up opportunities and execution as they happen as well as what I'm thinking in my head during a match. As such, frequent pausing might be required to read everything.

Some other things to note: for big combos I'll have a rectangle around the health bar to represent health before the combo started. Also you'll find random rectangles throughout that will tell you extra information if you mouse over them.

  • This video is 6 months old, dude. I've gotten a lot better since (my opponents have too) but I also wouldn't call myself "good" now. I'm just happy that other people are able to benefit from my advice.

Also, nice match vids on your chan... oh wait you don't have any uploaded? Well at least you have some nice tutori... no you don't have any of those either. Hmm. Well, I'm no pro but at least I'm trying to contribute instead of being some keyboard commando with nothing to show for himself.

  • 1'55: This is the problem I usually have when I play online. How can you avoid people grabbing you after you crossover? In here, Sagat didn't do anything, but could he have grab you?

  • when you land from a crossunder you land before they do so you have the advantage. if they are grabbing you after the crossunder you are either 1) not acting soon enough after landing or 2) experiencing too much lag to act fast enough. Sadly case 2 is all too common.

Things you can do: 1) use s.hp instead of cr.hp since it comes out faster but it's just a tiny bit harder to cancel into ex.tatsu. 2) if you suspect a throw you can ex.srk but this is kinda risky. 3) wait a short moment and ultra

  • Que aburrido jugar siempre así, no??? Prefiero variar en el juego aunque me apalizen.

  • no, the point of the video is to show all of your options after you launch your opponent. It only looks boring because you only see what is on screen (Sakura's mix ups start from the same move), and not the mental side of the game (you deciding how to mix up and how your opponent reacts).

  • I would say that Sakura is my main fighter, but I am terribad (5 wins, 40 losses :D). But I enjoyed the video, and I think reworking my stragey a bit more like yours will do me wonders. But I have two questions.

    1. How should I go about fighting the more powerful close range fighters like Zangief and Honda? Those two give me a ton of trouble.

And #2. I purchased the game at a store, and it is registered to Windows Live (I use a PC), does anybody know how I can run my game through Steam?

  • Sakura is my main :) top 30 on SSF4 baby!! It's true tho.. sorta like using Seth.. When you open the door for mix ups and mind games, its hard to stop Sakura ^_^

  • Nice video. I'm just starting to use Sakura in Super and this really helps in understanding why you do what you do and when to do it. Thanks!! :D

  • noob ass ryu spamming dp in the last round lol

  • veryyyy nice video, self-critical and helpful. kinda. next steps to learn for you: crLK - crLP - crHP - ex.tatsu instead of crHP tatsu after reset. also ex.tatsu into dash ultra, ends many rounds an otoshi doesnt. but since this video is old and you seem like an interested guy so you most likely did work on many of your weaknesses. nice vid again, thanks!

  • @henstar hahaha u pwned that kid. sick vids dude helped me a ton

  • NICE! i'm a sak user wanting to be better, this definitely helps me out. are you on xbox live? mind if i add you?

  • Excellent video. Helps a ton.

  • At least with vs some chars.

  • You can cross them after an ex tatsu anywhere. The timing is a little tricky but you can do it.
