  • suck me in to a bloody INFOMMERCIAL? BLOODY BASTARD!

  • Mick did NOT like Ed insisting, "You've going to sing 'Let's Spend Some TIME Together', or you're off the show". Note, at 1:19, when he sings the line, he rolls his eyes upward, as if to say to viewers, "See what I have to put up with?".

  • @fatShowPony I know what you mean. the roots are often ignored. On another note, if you like Robert Johnson, you might like Gus Cannon. He had some great tunes that were covered later on in popular music. ie Viola Lee Blues, Walk Right In, Minglewood blues.

    Cheers

  • Brian Jones was the genius behind the early Stones, he developed the guitar "hook" for "Last Time" played sitar, flute, keyboards, (Ruby Tuesday, ETC). Another musican whose personal demons brought his life to an end too soon. NOTE Mick was rolling his eyes during their song, "Let's Spend The Night Together"as he was told by the Ed Sullivan "Sensors" that he had to sing the Lyric, "Let's spend SOME TIME together" rather than, Lets spend THE NIGHT together. Unlike Jim Morrison saying "HIGHER"

  • @NickDanielCorcoran Yeah true, in truth I do like some Beatles songs but was trying to be antogonistic since I was annoyed by some of the comments on this - a Stones video. IMO people overrate the Beatles influence (particularly on rock) - the same people don't even know who Robert Johnson is (a genuine influence on the Stones). The obviously are also ignorant of the influence of Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Buddy Holly, Elvis on popular music.

  • @fatShowPony But unlike the Beatles, Bieber DIDN'T change the course of music history. You gotta give the Beatles a bit more credit. You named possibly the three lamest Beatles songs out of about 300. Songs like Within Without You, A Day in The Life and I Want You (She's So Heavy) are hardly 3 minute pop songs. Lastly, I love the Hollies but I'd say they're about twice as poppy as the Beatles were in the late 60s.

  • Who says they didn't contribute? They are so influential even to this day.Hell,on a funny note.Who the hell you think Moves Like Jagger is about.LOL

  • @fatShowPony If you do not Like The Beatles that is fine but to say they are not The Greatest Band in History is just to satisfy your own dislike for Them, I don't Like Elvis Presley But i Cannot Deny the Fact that he is the Greatest Rock n' Roll Singer in History and of course The King of Rock n' Roll. there are things you cannot dispute.

  • @fatShowPony Bottom Line is everyone of those acts have claimed that they were influenced by The Beatles...

  • @herndonjesus I wouldn't say they Copied The Beatles but they certainly owe a lot to them...
