  • is the cloth he wets first a special product for prewetting or just regular plain weave?

  • @asrar631: The only place I've seen a vacuum being used is when the impregnation of your composite is completed. The part is placed into a vacuum bag. A vacuum is then connected to the bag in order to suck out all the air. This provides an equal distribution of pressure so that your composite conforms to the contours of your mould better. This is also done to suck out any excess epoxy resin because the less resin that is used on your part, the stronger your strength-to-weight ratio will be.

  • Specifically, its called a release agent. It comes in the form of a wax or PVA liquid you can spray on.

  • vaccum spray... lol.. never heard that one..

  • this is manufacturing of a composite material in a big die. The material used could be any composite in the form of 2d-beading or even unidirectional fibre.

The material sprayed on the mold keeps the fibres from connecting the mold when cured and needed to be separated.

    Does that answer your question?

  • would love the DVDs but seriously How expensive are they!?! :O

  • Sorry, don't have that much information on the manufacturing technique.

  • Is this Vaccum spray. Give some description of the manufacturing technique and the material used.
