"Held"--Natalie Grant

I made this video in honor of my friend Jen, who has hit a rough patch in life. She has lost three people in her life that are very dear to her: a grandmother, an aunt, and a friend's baby. She told me how she lost all three in a matter of weeks and it completely broke my heart.

I was listening to this song the next day and thought about Jen the whole time, bawling my eyes out as I did so. As a Christian, I realized that only through our faith can we get through something like what she has gone through. It says nowhere in the Bible that Christians live an easy life, but what it does say is that, even though we will suffer, we will be carried through the tragedies we face. "This is what it means to be held..."

So here's to you, Jen, for trusting in Our Father that you will get through this and that He's got His arms wrapped around you. I love you and I pray for you every day. You are not forgotten, though it may feel like that sometimes. "The promise was when everything fell, we'd be held."

@1ndntammy Oh my, you're going to make me cry! :,) I'm happy to report that, two years later, Jen is doing great. She had a strong, healthy baby boy on April 28th and is an incredible mother. She was, in fact, Held. :)

i've never really gotten that close to anybody that has died - but i'd like to think that the angels and jesus would happen when somebody i am close to passes.

wow... my baby girl died 2 months ago.. i love picturing the angels watching over me while i grieve.. she had a white crib and i have dark hair. i love picturing her with Jesus too. you have to know how this video can help people...

I've just lost my Great Grandmother and Grandad within 36 hours of each other. 2 Funerals in 4 days. Not being religious in any way, i deal with it completely differently than others but either way its not easy. Hope it stops here, I've never had such a bad luck week in all my life. Nevermind eh, could always be worse!
